Drab Majesty bring an ethereal glide to ‘Last Call With Carson Daly’

One of the more enchanting live performances we’ve caught so far in 2018 was Drab Majesty’s July appearance at Royale. The Los Angeles dark-pop project led by Deb Demure was sandwiched between the harsher sounds of Uniform and Deafheaven, but their ethereal approach to post-punk and new wave provided an intriguing respite from the aggressive nature of the evening.

Earlier this week Drab Majesty filmed a live segment for NBC’s Last Call With Carson Daly, brining handy camerawork into The Wiltern in LA, and you can watch an extended performance below of “Not Just A Name,” one of the many standout tracks of last year’s remarkable LP The Demonstration.

Last Call also has additional footage of true Vanyaland fave “Too Soon To Tell”, also from The Demonstration, posted up over on the show’s homepage.

Close your eyes and let the visuals guide you.
