This monster-spawning November, Morrissey is slated to appear live at the Tropicália Music & Taco Fest, co-headlining the Long Beach party with Cardi B and a whole lot of (presumably vegan) tacos.
Unsatisfied with just a one-and-done festival gig, the former Smiths frontman has today announced a pair of live shows in the southern California region around that same time: Halloween night (October 31) at the Majestic Ventura Theater in Ventura, and November 10 at Copley Symphony Hall in San Diego.
Hell, even James Dean looks skeptical as hell on the tour flyer.
While you, dear ticket holder, may be shit out of luck if (or when) Morrissey decides to bail on the solo shows, Tropicália should go on regardless of any ill temperament or illness. The November 3 and 4 fest has a super interesting lineup, including Carlisle’s own Clairo (featured in our recent Future of Pop spotlight), Kali Uchis, Mac Demarco, Mazzy Star, Chicano Batman, Toro Y Moi, Albert Hammond Jr., and a bunch more.
Plus, it has tacos! Tacos! Tacos never cancelled on you.
