Waking up to see that Meghan Trainor unexpectedly covered one of your tunes definitely isn’t “normal,” but that’s how Sasha Sloan’s day started last week. The Nantucket native paid homage to old Hopkinton rez Sloan on her new two-track Spotify sessions release, which features both a stripped-down version of Trainor’s song “Let You Be Right,” and a new version of Sloan’s song “Normal,” recorded at Sound Stage Studios in Nashville. “holy shit i woke up this morning and saw that @meghan_trainorcovered normal ???? this is so dope please go listen to it because it’s amazing lol thank you so much girl, love u ????,” Sloan shared on Instagram. Now we just need a collab between the two ladies and all our Massachusetts pop fantasies come true. Listen to the crossover below. Featured image by Nicolita Bradley.
