Uh-oh, it looks like Sam Smith has opinions on Michael Jackson. And they are rather …off the wall.
The British pop crooner was out on a yacht recently with Adam Lambert — as one does, yeah — and as Michael Jackson’s Thriller single “Human Nature” filled the sweet salty air, Lambert whipped out his phone and started taking video. Smith, possibly (probably!) unaware Lambert was recording an Instagram Story or whatever, made this shocking revelation: “I don’t like Michael Jackson, but this is a good song.”
Oh shit.
As CoS notes, Smith is actually praising the song. But that first part is quite the plot twist. Who doesn’t like Michael Jackson? Sheesh.
Of course this is no big deal, but Twitter is having a meltdown over it, and here we are posting about it on a Monday morning (summer, hey). Anyway, watch the clip below, captured for historical purposes by Music News Facts.
