Back in April we went deep with Nina Nesbitt, getting to know the Scottish singer-songwriter and musician in advance of her Boston appearance at Great Scott. Now she’s back with a fierce new single called “Loyal To Me”, and we extend our loyalty to one of our fave alt-pop singers as she calls out fraudulent lovers. That jumps out in particular through the saucy lyric: “If he never wants you to meet his friends/If he ain’t tagging you on the ‘Gram/Take your heart and turn it around while you still can.” That’s solid advice. Nesbitt says this new track “is influenced by the independent-women spirit of the ’90s and is a self-help guide to dating.” It was written by Nesbitt, produced by Fraser T Smith (Adele, Sam Smith, Drake), and will be featured on her forthcoming album. “Loyal To Me” is already a live staple for the musician, and she’ll take it and her growing arsenal of hits around select North American cities this fall. Peep the full run of dates and declare your own brand of loyalty to Ms. Nina below. Featured image via High Rise PR.
