Ok, let’s talk about Arctic Monkeys again, though this bout of buzz has nothing to do with Alex Turner’s hair (or lack thereof).
The British gents kicked off their North American tour last night in Queens (it hits Boston’s TD Garden on Friday), and celebrated the occasion by honoring one of New York’s finest, The Strokes.
The Arctics’ cover of “Is This It” was captured, naturally, by fan-filmed video available for view below, and it looks like a pretty straight-forward rendition. Of course, every Turner stan will be quick to tell you the first line he utters on new LP Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino is “I just wanted to be one of The Strokes,” so no one should be surprised by this development.
