Studio 52 is a community artist space located in the heart of Allston, and is proud to support the Boston music scene and local artist community.
The Boston Music Awards have rolled out a year-long series of programming at The Verb Hotel and Hojoko, designed to highlight local band and artists well in advance of its annual December banquet. That rages forward this Friday when the BMAs team up with Spotify for an intriguing bill of Contact and Latrell James, but things take on a whole new fit of community momentum next week, when it launches its Promoter Series Live residency.
The premise is simple: The BMAs partner with a local promoter to co-present a bill featuring two acts performing live at the Fenway venues over the course of multiple Friday evenings (doors are at the post-work hour of 5 p.m., and they are all-ages parties).
On board for its inaugural series are Lysten Boston, Grayskull Booking, Leedz Edutainment, Indie Rock Ranger, RTT Presents, and Xperience Creative. The lineups, viewed in full below, are all reflective of the booking agents’ own brand of hustle. And that’s by design.
“Promotion is such a vital component of any successful show, yet it’s not very often celebrated,” says BMAs owner and producer Paul Armstrong (disclaimer: Armstrong is also the co-founder and publisher of this website) “Promoter Series Live is, of course, first and foremost about the incredible artists, but it’s also a chance to shine a light on those generally in the shadows and let them do what they do best — put on one hell of a show. We’re thrilled to work alongside the promoters to bring even more live local music to the Boston community.”
