Low Cut Connie holler ‘Oh Suzanne’ and unveil fall tour

The whirling rock and roll dervish known as Low Cut Connie are about to make sweet musical love to New England, but not before hollering “Oh Suzanne” out the door as they fly on over. The Philadelphia crew led by Adam Weiner today dropped a new video for rollicking track “Oh Suzanne,” off recent LP Dirty Pictures (Part 2), and it sets the tone for what lies ahead. “The video happened so organically,” says the video’s director Remy Holwick. “I work with analog photo and video and so the idea of making a VHS tape felt second nature, and when Adam suggested an intimate space, the motel room in New Jersey seemed so obvious that I almost didn’t suggest it. Adam was game for all our ideas — stockings? No problem! Mask? Absolutely. It was such a dream to have an artist be so trusting and willing to bring a concept to life.” All this insanity translates well for one of the best live acts going, and Low Cut Connie hit Newport Folk Festival later this month before a fall headlining tour offers two chances to experience it all: October 17 at The Middle East in Cambridge and October 19 at Burlington’s Higher Ground.
