Preoccupations have had a rough go of it lately, as the Calgary post-punk band were robbed of their gear twice in one week while touring North America (the first incident happened in Seattle, the second in San Francisco). A successful GoFundMe helped the band get back on their feet, and now, on the eve of a 19-date European tour that kicks off Tuesday (June 5) in London, Preoccupations have unveiled a visual for “Decompose,” one of the many standout cuts off March’s New Material LP. Directed by Evan Henderson, the live elements were captured at Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto, with Henderson shooting on film that “had been boiled for two weeks in a salt water brine prior to filming,” according to press notes. The result is a coarse, grainy video that pairs well visually with Preoccupations’ raw sound. Watch it below.
