Editor’s Note: Boston Calling’s Sunday (May 27) lineup boasted some heavy star power, but also repped Boston and New England like few individual days in the fest’s history. In addition to sets by hip-hop risers STL GLD and Cousin Stizz, alt-rock trio Weakened Friends kicked off the Green Stage in (very loud) style, and shortly after their performance, Vanyaland assistant news editor Vitoria Wasylak sat down with singer/guitarist Sonia Sturino, bassist Annie Hoffman, and drummer Cam Jones to talk about playing the fest, having stress dreams the night before, and just when we can expect some new Weakened Friends jams this year. There was also some chatter about the Boston music scene, which was impossible to ignore on a day like this. Listen to the full interview below. Featured photo by Matthew Shelter for Vanyaland.
