Editor’s Note: It was as cold on Sunday as it was hot on Friday. There’s a joke in there somewhere about New England weather in the spring, but few were laughing about the rain and cold Sunday (May 27) around the festival grounds of Boston Calling. The one thing that remained rather serious was the quality of programming on the Delta Blue Stage, a “third stage” in theory only that continued to provide some of the best performances of the weekend. The third and final day of Boston Calling was no different, and below is Emily Gardner’s visual recap of performances by Day 3 headliners Fleet Foxes, a subtly moving Julien Baker (who used the rain around her like a prop for mood), and an emphatic art-pop performance from Zola Jesus.
