Editor’s Note: They say Saturday is always the juiciest day at Boston Calling Music Festival. We’ll leave that type of declaration and proclamation to our very own Barry Thompson, but we can provide some compelling visual evidence to make the case. The middle slate at this year’s fest at Harvard Athletic Complex featured a solid mix of star power and notable names, and both were on display on Boston Calling’s Green Stage throughout the day — from superstar madman Jack White to San Francisco rock powderkeg Thee Oh Sees to Atlanta indie dudes Manchester Orchestra to Third Man Records fiddle player Lillie Mae.
