We’ve long since stopped saying silly things about how late-night television is the new MTV, but it’s really been an incredible week for hearing great new music past bedtime. Earlier in the week CHVRCHES dropped by The Tonight Show to blast through “Miracle,” and last night (May 16), Beach House paid a visit to Jimmy Kimmel Live in support of new record 7. The Baltimore duo got all sorts of spooky for the performance, in which they slowly burned through a song called “Drunk In LA.” It’s not the sequel to Bran Van 3000’s ’90s hit “Drinking In LA”, but hey, like Billy Bob Thornton says in Bad Santa, they can’t all be winners, can they? Irregardless, as they say, “Drunk In LA” hits that sweet jam spot, so you should watch the clip below and pray for August, when Beach House play Boston’s House of Blues.
