Superorganism slither their collaborative art-pop into Allston

In 1995, The Presidents of the United States of America declared that “everybody wants to be naked and famous.” More than 20 years later, Superorganism are echoing the sentiment with “Everybody Wants To Be Famous.” For once in an era of nonsensical band names, Superorganism is one of the select few that makes sense; to call the London-based hodgepodge of eight musicians a “band” would strip the group of their diverse range, both geographically and sonically. With members from Japan, Australia, New Zealand, the U.K. and beyond, Superorganism offer eight totally different moving parts in one project, pulsing as a sole art-pop entity. The outfit bring their self-titled debut (out earlier this month via Domino) to Brighton Music Hall this Sunday (April 1), a show that lands at the tail end of their North American tour. Their faces up in your face guaranteed. Featured photo by Jordan Hughes.
