Hey Boston, here’s your chance to finally see Liam Gallagher. And Richard Ashcroft is coming along for the ride.
The former Oasis frontman has finally announced a Boston date, and it goes down May 14 at The Blue Hills Bank Pavilion. Gallagher had previously cancelled his highly-anticipated Boston show in November, at the House of Blues, due to illness. While this doesn’t appear to be a “make up” date, ticket-holders to the HOB show will have first crack at tickets to this one, via a “HOB Ticket Purchaser Presale” that starts Wednesday (March 21).
Tickets to the Pavilion show go on sale to the general public on Friday (March 23) at 10 a.m., with a Live Nation pre-sale starting Thursday. Check out all of the Gallagher + Ashcroft dates below, including an appearance at New York City’s Central Park Summer Stage on May 16.
While Gallagher is riding high off his excellent solo album, last year’s As You Were, Ashcroft, the former singer/guitarist of The Verve, came back hard in 2016 with a brilliant solo effort of his own in These People. The LP, which included the hit “Hold On,” stands up as Mad Richard’s best solo record since 2000’s Alone With Everybody. Says who? Says us.
