Studio 52 is a community artist space located in the heart of Allston, and is proud to support the Boston music scene and local artist community.
We’ve quickly learned that The Ballroom Thieves and beer go hand-in-hand (both hands if you’re frisky), so much so that the Boston folk trio paired up with Nightshift Brewing last spring for their very own Thievery Pale Ale.
Now the band is giving fans a chance to do a bit of drinkin’ and singin’ with them as they host a Freedom Crawl this Friday night (January 19) around downtown Boston. It kicks off at The Point on Hanover Street at 6:30 p.m., where the Thieves promise a “surprise thing.” From there it heads to The Green Dragon on Marshall Street at 7:30 p.m. for some drinks before rounding out at Scholars on School Street at 8:30 p.m. for some more beverages.
The musical bar crawl goes down the night before The Ballroom Thieves play a sold-out show at the nearby Old South Meeting House.
“We wanted to do something a little special,” write the Thieves on the Book of Faces. “We’re hosting our first ever ‘Freedom Crawl!’ A.k.a., we’re posting up at a few of our favorite historic pubs downtown for dranks with friends and fans alike! All are welcome (21+ duh) so come down and meet us as we do beers for freedom on Friday night.”
Sounds like a time.
