What Studio 52 Says: Technical death metal veterans Boarcorpse have been churning up guts and handing out tinnitus for nearly a decade now, and there are no signs of letting up. The bulk of their songs have enough time signature and tempo changes to make your head spin, yet they always find a way back to their unique vigorous grooviness that forces bodies into motion. Blast beats penetrate your ear drums at machine gun pace, roaring guitars offer an overwhelming amount of punch and clarity, and the vocals sound like pure death liberating itself from a human trachea. Although their current catalogue of recorded music remains brief, word on the street is their new album Uncured is finished and set to hit all major streaming platforms in early 2018. For those who can’t wait for the album to drop, find your way down to O’Briens in Allston this Sunday (December 17) and catch the “bacon-themed technical breakfast death grooves” that embody Boarcorpse live and in person.
