Studio 52 is a community artist space located in the heart of Allston, and is proud to support the Boston music scene and local artist community.

We've long said that YouTube is the greatest music website in the world, and while streaming services have caught up a bit in recent years, it remains our go-to destination when we absolutely need to hear a song right meow. As music seekers and listeners have leaned heavily on YouTube over the past decade, the art of the music video has returned to prominence.

So it's no surprise that the nominees for Video of the Year in the 2017 Boston Music Awards are each on some hot shit in their own individual right. The six nominated clips represent a diverse pool of artists -- Avenue, Bat House, and Magen Tracy & the Missed Connections, as well as some killer collaborations in Dutch ReBelle & Marcela Cruz, STL GLD featuring Dutch ReBelle, Tigerman WOAH, Julie Rhodes, and The Devil’s Twins featuring Slaine -- and much like the Song of the Year noms, it's impossible to pick a winner.

With the BMAs party arriving Thursday night (December 7) at The House of Blues, we have some time to fully digest each video before one deserving band or artist and all their friends gets to walk down Lansdowne Street with that big black baton trophy. Click play on all six below.
