Editor's Note: Much has been made lately of A Perfect Circle's no photos or video policy, which was on full display last night at Agganis Arena. A few doors down Commonwealth Avenue, the opposite stance was seemingly in effect, as Joyce Manor, Wavves, and Culture Abuse played to a packed-out Paradise Rock Club, with many in the venue facing the stage with camera phones extended forward. Of course, that posture is an inherent risk at a show like this, but documentation is often the order of the day. Though all three guitar-rock bands hail from various parts of California (Joyce Manor of Torrance, Wavves of San Diego, and Culture Abuse of San Francisco), they're all familiar faves here in Boston, and Wavves' Nathan Williams have shown our town some love with the signings of bands like Steep Leans and Upheaval to his Ghost Ramp label. Last night was a rowdy affair at the 'Dise, and Vanyaland's Eddy Leiva was in the thivk of it all capturing some snaps. Peep his full gallery below.
