When you arrive at your seat for tonight’s A Perfect Circle show at Agganis Arena, there should be a big-ass printed message taped to the back of the seat in front of you: “NO PHOTOS OR VIDEOS”.
Several dozen people ignored that warning at the band’s show Saturday night at the Santander Arena in Reading, Pennsylvania, and according to Jam Bands, more than 60 were ejected.
As Jam Bands note, A Perfect Circle have a strict policy against both photo and video, even by your crappy iPhone. It’s a policy that that extends to Maynard James Keenan’s other acts, Tool and Puscifer.
Recently, a fan reached out to Keenan via the Puscifer Instagram page and asked him about the policy, and the frontman responded with this: “No. Recording. Of. Any. Kind. For. 25. Years. Guided experience. Unplug and enjoy the ride.”
So let that be a fair warning for tonight’s Boston show. “Unplug and enjoy” — and besides, we’ll have a full gallery of the show published on Vanyaland as soon as tomorrow, so you can relive the experience properly. We got the OK in advance.
