This Christmas season, Bret Michaels is going from hoes, hoes, hoes to ho, ho, ho.
The Poison frontman and legendary Rock of Love cocksman is releasing his first-ever holiday song on November 17, a cover of the time-honred Christmas classic “Jingle Bells.”
But since your mama don’t dance and your daddy don’t rock and roll, Michaels’ rendition is said to be a “contemporary” version of the song, mixing what the press release calls “modern recording techniques and contemporary grooves with traditional orchestration and feel to create a completely fresh new version of one of the most recognizable holiday songs of all time.”
Oooh, baby, talk jolly to me!
“It was such an awesome experience that I plan to have a full-length release of holiday music next year,” Michaels says.
Keeping in the holiday spirit, a portion of the proceeds from Michaels’ “Jingle Bells” will go to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and this season Michaels’ Life Rocks Foundation will also be holding its annual fundraising drive. More on that over at bretmichaels.com.
