Studio 52 Spotlight: The Devil’s Twins

What Studio 52 Says: The Devil’s Twins are a noir-punk duo comprised of singer Nicole Coogan and singer/guitarist Jeremiah Louf. Their refreshing take on rockabilly infused punk have culminated into a handful of extraordinarily solid projects over the years, including the release of latest EP American Noir Vol. 1 this summer. American Noir sees the group at their finest; with the consolidation of Coogan’s wailing vocals and Louf’s excellent guitar work, the EP is a perfect addition to your end of summer/start of fall rotation. The Devil’s Twins have been busy since the release of the EP, celebrated at The Sinclair in Cambridge last August, once again nominated in the Boston Music Awards, except this round they’ve piled up more nominations compared to last year (including their win of Rock/Indie Artist of the Year). This weekend, the Twins are hitting back-to-back stages Friday and Saturday night. Tonight (October 27) catch them with CONTACT as part of the BMAs Reverb From The Roof series at the Verb Hotel for a free-with-RSVP rooftop show overlooking Fenway. Then on Saturday night (October 28), prepare to get spooky at Opus in Salem when The Devil’s Twins enact the Witch Town Throwdown with The Humanoids and recent Featured Band Salem Wolves. Don’t miss these twin nights with the Twins! — Andrew Maroney, Studio 52.
