Yesterday Morrissey tweeted out a very Morrisseyian tweet, and unless you’ve been paying attention to the track listing of his forthcoming album Low in High School, you’d just think it was just another case of Moz being Moz.
But it turns out the sentiment — “I wish you lonely” — is not just another appropriate Mozism in this age of solemn misery, but in fact the title of his latest single, officially out today (October 25) and available to stream via Spotify below.
Much like last month’s “Spent The Day In Bed”, this latest single is another bit of sonic departure from the former Smiths singer’s recent solo output, and gives us some nice Vauxhall & I-era vibes.
Low in High School is out November 17, and Morrissey’s North American tour brings him to Boston’s Orpheum Theatre on December 7. View all the dates below.
