Back in 2016, Porches was extraordinarily generous, offering fans not only his dreamy, career-defining LP Pool, but also dishing out Water, an album consisting of stripped-down versions of Pool tunes and a few new tracks. But after flurry of 2016’s synth-pop madness, 2017 had been far quieter for Porches founder Aaron Maine up until this month.
Following the release of new track “Country,” Maine has further unveiled his forthcoming album The House with single “Find Me,” a techno-beat-fueled hybrid of dance and chillwave. Somewhat fittingly, this might be Maine’s closest brush with house music to date.
“Find Me” unfurls as both paranoid and tender, mixing and matching lyrics like “just don’t let it find me” and “touch my neck and walk me home,” all while pulsating like a discotheque nostalgia trip.
We’ve got a while to go before Maine drops The House (due out January 19, 2018), but the singer released “Find Me” with a lush music to keep his aesthetic kickin’ for a while. Check out the song and video below:
