Earlier this month The Breeders released “Wait in the Car,” their first new single in eight years. The release is part of a series of 7-inches that will find the Ohio band covering Amon Düül II’s “Archangel’s Thunderbird,” Devo’s “Gates Of Steel,” and “Joanne” by Mike Nesmith. A new album from Kim Deal and company is expected sometime after the New Year, and the band is currently on tour in Europe.
Last night, they played Electric Ballroom in London, and spent this morning chatting with and playing for Lauren Laverne at BBC Radio 6 Music. The 20-minute session is now online, and you can hear it below.
Once their tour wraps later this month, The Breeders are back in the states for a handful of dates, including a November 3 appearance at The Sinclair in Cambridge. That shit is wicked sold out, in case you were wondering.
