Photo Gallery: Wire and Minibeast live at The Sinclair in Cambridge

Editor's Note: It could be said that British post-punk pioneers Wire are one of the few current bands making the rounds today with both a four-decade history and a modern freshness to their sound. March's Silver/Lead, Wire's 15th studio album, is a proper ripper, and that record along with 40 years of electricity, dating back to 1977's groundbreaking Pink Flag, was on full display at The Sinclair in Cambridge Saturday night (September 23). Providence experimental group Minibeast, led by Mission of Burma drummer Peter Prescott, provided opening intrigue, so it's safe to say the night wasn't lacking and historical perspective. Kit Castagne was in the Harvard Square rock club on behalf of Vanyaland, and you can scan through his full gallery of both bands below.
