Editor's Note: Boston didn't get any Depeche Mode this month, but we did gain an additional Warpaint gig. The Los Angeles quartet have been on a North American tour opening for the synth-pop legends, and on various off nights, have been plugging in club gigs along the route. Last night (September 6), in between arena shows Tuesday in Montreal and tonight in D.C., Warpaint played a sold-out Brighton Music Hall in Allston, allowing the group to stretch out their set a bit and show off last year's excellent Heads Up LP. As an added bonus (and we do love added bonuses), Warpaint personally selected Boston guitar-rock trio Lady Pills to open a show, and inspired choice that suggests these two bands might not be done sharing bills together. As we await any possible Warpaint-Lady Pills tours that may arise in the future, scan through Eddy Leiva's full gallery from the show below.
