Studio 52 is a community artist space located in the heart of Allston, and is proud to support the Boston music scene and local artist community.
Last week Rise Records released the latest album from PVRIS (the fantastic All We Know Of Heaven, All We Need Of Hell), but the label’s love and support for Massachusetts music didn’t end there. A few days before the Lowell trio dropped their new record, Rise announced they signed Beverly rock quartet Valleyheart.
Back in March 2016 we were blown away by Valleyheart, featuring their single “Kids from Calvary”, and it turns out Rise were equally impressed. The label has re-issued Valleyheart’s debut EP Nowadays, and a proper full-length will be on the way.
“We were reached out by Rise almost a year back after they discovered our first EP,” Valleyheart’s Danny Godwin tells Vanyaland. “A couple labels reached out to us in the past but Rise proved to be the best fit after showing great interest in our vision and music. They have a successful track record of releasing heavier acts but they were looking to explore new avenues with our band. So far, we are thrilled to be partnering with them and they are great to work with.”
Nowadays has been re-recorded and re-mastered, and includes two previously unreleased tracks. Watch the video for the title track below, and expect news of a national Valleyheart tour in the coming weeks.
