Ted Leo never met a Boston stage he couldn’t own. Over the past few years the Pharmacists ringleader and Aimee Mann collaborator has played everywhere from the theaters to the outdoor music festivals to Brighton living rooms, and he returns to the clubs for a September 17 show at Brighton Music Hall with Thalia Zedek.
But now we can add another field of play to Leo’s lengthy Boston resume: Dr. Martens Store.
Leo performs live at the Newbury Street location in Back Bay on October 5, and it’s a free and all-ages gig. But you gotta RSVP. Here’s the official word:
“Dr. Martens is bringing Ted Leo to the Dr. Martens Store in Boston. This is an intimate performance from a true music legend! Join us on October 5 for this very special show! Hosted bar with beverages from Deep Eddy Vodka, Topo Chico, and Pabst Blue Ribbon.”
“Events are all-ages. Alcohol with 21+ ID. Space is limited, admittance based upon capacity. RSVP does not guarantee entry. With RSVP you agree to receive email communications from Dr. Martens and COLLiDE.”
Leo releases a new solo album, the Kickstarter-funded The Hanged Man, on September 8. Get pre-order info here, and listen to lead single “You’re Like Me” via Soundcloud. Featured image via Kickstarter.
