Where’s Wanda? Denis Leary’s Comics Come Home announces 2017 lineup

After political tensions took over last year’s event, a mix of the finest local and nationally-known comedy minds will reconvene on the TD Garden stage to present the 23rd annual Comics Come Home fundraiser.

And this time around, the anti-Trump Wanda Sykes and pro-Trump Nick Di Paolo won’t be there to bring out the boo-birds.

On Saturday, November 18, Denis Leary’s charity brainchild returns to support The Cam Neely Foundation for Cancer Care, as it has done for many years, and the lineup the Worcester native has personally hand-picked will be sure to make 2017’s installment of the highly-anticipated comedy institution one for the ages.

Hosted by Leary, comedy giants Jimmy Fallon, Craig Ferguson, and Jim Gaffigan return to the annual charity event, and they lead a cast of stand-up characters that will surely bring a monsoon of laughter, including Boston comedy legend Lenny Clarke, Robert Kelly, Get Out actor Lil’ Rel Howery, NYC-based comic Jared Freid, and — just in case you thought the crowd would leave unscathed — the RoasterMaster General himself, Jeff Ross, is also included on the dais.

Attendee beware!

Just as surely as the audience will belt out the chorus of Leary’s anthemic “Asshole”, Comics Come Home promises to be night of hilarity, social commentary, and community as Leary and co. return the favor to their fans and supporters of Neely’s foundation.

Pre-sale tickets go on sale this Monday (August 21) at 10 a.m.; use the passcode NEELY8. The public on-sale begins August 23 at 10 a.m. And keep it locked to the Comics Come Home Facebook event page for any updates and lineup news.
