Studio 52 is a community artist space located in the heart of Allston, and is proud to support the Boston music scene and local artist community.
If you’re seeking perhaps the hottest event of the summer, look no further than Briggs Fest -- a one day music festival taking place this Saturday (July 29) at The Lawn On D between Southie and Boston’s Waterfront District.
The brainchild of Briggs Original Boston Cranberry, a local company specializing in spiked seltzer founded by Newton natives Michael Kurson and Neil Quigley, Briggs Fest’s insane hip-hop-centric lineup features Boston’s own Sammy Adams, Waka Flocka Flame, B.o.B., Khary, Aziz The Shake, and more. What’s refreshing about the event its eclectic array of urban artists, especially considering last month's the "State Of The Union" discussion hosted by Xperience Creative, which addressed rampant genre inequality that is a constant problem plaguing artists and promoters in the city.
Not only does Briggs Fest confirm that by giving the people what they want by offering such talent, but it shows hip-hop can comfortably hold its own as the main attraction -- and draw a massive crowd.
