Editor’s Note: On a cold, rainy spring night in Boston, Deftones arrived to keep us warm. The celebrated Sacramento rock band rolled into the Blue Hills Bank Pavilion this past Friday (June 16) as part of a co-headlining run with Rise Against, and it was so frigid and damp it was difficult to tell the difference between the chemical stage fog and the exhaled breath of the performers. Undeterred, Deftones delivered what they do best, still riding high off the release of last year’s Gore. Rise Against were here showing off their latest album, this month’s Wolves, and England’s Three Trapped Tigers and California’s Thrice provided opening sounds. Tim Bugbee was under the white tent for all of it, and you can view his full gallery below.
