The New England Patriots are set to visit the White House today to celebrate their victory in Super Bowl LI.
But Tom Brady will not be there.
In a statement posted moments ago, the quarterback cited “personal family matters” for the decision to not attend the ceremony. Our current President of the United States considers Brady a friend, so this is quite the situation developing.
It’s been a crazy morning in the Patriots world so far today, as this morning news broke that former player Aaron Hernandez was found dead in his jail cell, the result of a reported suicide.
