Editor's Note: About two weeks into 2017, New York duo Diet Cig suggested they'd have a big year ahead with the release of "Tummy Ache," a painfully earnest guitar-rock jam that set the bar high for new LP Swear I’m Good At This. As it turned out, the album dropped a day before Diet Cig rolled into town for a show at Brighton Music Hall in Allston (April 8), heading a fantastic bill alongside Nashville trio Daddy Issues and homegrown faves Lilith. Lauren Piandes was at Brighton on behalf of Vanyaland and snapped a few looks at each performance, and you can view her full gallery below while playing "Tummy Ache" at the loudest volume permitted at wherever you spend your Monday.
