Earlier in the week, it was revealed that Belgian electronic music legends Front 242 are co-headlining the absolutely dead sexy Cold Waves Festival in Chicago this fall, throwing down EBM beats alongside the likes of KMFDM, Cold Cave, Assemblage 23, Stabbing Westward, OHGR, Drab Majesty, and others.
Now, Jean-Luc De Meyer and his devilish headhunter crew are wrapping a North American tour around the Midwest date, and the 12-show run concludes with an October 7 appearance at Brighton Music Hall in Allston. The show is in conjunction with monthly goth, industrial, and power noise party Corrosion.
“There’s no downplaying the influence Front 242 has had on electronic music as a whole,” says Corrosion resident DJ and co-founder Brian L. “In a lot of ways if it wasn’t for them, Corrosion wouldn’t be what it is today so being involved in this show and welcoming them back to Boston has us beyond excited.”
Front 242’s “Circling Overland” tour kicks off September 19 at Irving Plaza in New York City. Get the full dates below after revisiting an underground nightlife classic in 1988 single “Headhunter.” Meanwhile, Corrosion returns to Brighton this Saturday (April 1) for an April Fools’ edition with Brian L. and fellow resident DJ Devil’s Advocate.
