Today in Ed Sheeran news (which we guess is suddenly a thing here at Vanyaland), we have learned that the pop star has finally come face to face with the photo of a baby that looks exactly like him. Yeah yeah, we know what you’re thinking — after yesterday’s news about a British woman being jailed for playing Sheeran’s “Shape Of You” on repeat at obscene volumes just to piss off her neighbor, how can this development actually be news?

That thing has been haunting us for weeks now. And as Mashable notes, Sheeran was on the set during a Wednesday taping of ITV’s Good Morning Britain, and during the Pulitzer-worthy interview, he was presented with that photo above. “She’s not mine,” Sheeran reportedly repeatedly proclaimed after casually scanning the redheaded baby.
He did admit that it was “mad” that crazy shit like this goes viral. We won’t even bother wondering what he thinks of websites like us reporting on it.
