ADULT.’s new record Detroit House Guests has long been marked as one of our most anticipated albums of 2017. The collaborative LP, which features appearances by Nitzer Ebb’s Douglas J McCarthy, Michael Gira from Swans, Shannon Funchess from Light Asylum, and others, is out March 17 via Mute, and now there is confirmation the Detroit electronic-punk duo will be taking their mechanical sounds on the road.
As part of a 15-date North American tour, ADULT. play Great Scott in Allston on May 17. Tickets go on sale tomorrow (Friday, Match 3).
To celebrate the tour news, and to get us even more hyped up for the new LP, ADULT. have released their Funchess collab, “We Chase The Sound,” and you can hear that below. It’s a tumbling, menacing techno track that oddly sounds more like Nitzer Ebb than the previously-released McCarthy effort.
Dig into it after the tour dates.
