The GRAMMYS are going down live from Los Angeles tonight, and as is tradition (we guess), many of the awards are given out before the party actually begins at 8 p.m. ET. One of the awards given out pre-show was for Best Metal Performance.
Dave Mustaine, we have good news and we have bad news.
The good news is that Megadeth won, for their album Dystopia.
The bad news is that the GRAMMYs house band broke into a rendition of Metallica’a “Master of Puppets” as the band jumped from their seats. SiriusXM’s Jose Mangin has the video, and h/t to Annie Zaleski on Facebook for pointing out the flub.
Metallica are set to perform live at Staples Center later tonight.
Keep it locked to Vanyaland.com and @Vanyaland617 as we live-tweet all the action over the course of the evening. Search #VGrammys.
