Editor's Note: Fresh off the release of her new album Paper Parachute, Israeli superstar Ninet Tayeb dropped by Somerville's Thunder Road last night (February 7) for some much-needed rock and roll therapy. The Los Angeles-based Tayeb has been compared to everyone from PJ Harvey to Shirley Manson, and her recent single "Subservient" is all sorts of awesome, a seductive mix of sinister '90s alt-rock and modernized world music sounds. Last night Tayeb thrilled a packed house, and Vanyaland's Matthew Shelter was in the room to capture some images from the show, as well as of homegrown openers Analog Heart.
