Gorillaz are back with what they are calling “a lightning bolt of truth in a black night.” The British collective have released their first new song in six years, a hymnal collaboration with singer-songwriter Benjamin Clementine titled “Hallelujah Money.”

“Dark times — u need someone to look up to,” the band tweeted Thursday afternoon. “Me. Here’s a lightning bolt of truth in a black night. Now piss on! New stuff won’t write itself.”
Word to that. “Hallelujah Money” is the first taste off Gorillaz long-anticipated new album, the follow-up to 2011’s The Fall. It’s expected to hit lives both virtual and for real later this year.
