This April brings about the 20th anniversary of Sleater-Kinney’s classic album Dig Me Out. But the celebrations won’t start or end there, as this morning the influential rock band announced their first ever live record, Live In Paris.
Recorded at Paris’ La Cigale on March 20 of 2015, the album features 13 tracks, is available on CD, cassette, vinyl, and digitally, and it’s officially out January 27 via SubPop.
Sleater-Kinney writes: “The news is true! Our first ever live album, Live In Paris, is coming out Jan 27 on Sub Pop. It is available to pre-order now! Limited edition packages come with a t-shirt and a set of three 3×5 signed prints! More info at liveinparis.kungfustore.com”
To get us all excited, the band posted a live cut of “Surface Envy” to Soundcloud, a song head on their 2014 LP No Cities to Love. Sounds pretty rad.
