On Christmas, no one can hear you scream. Which is why it’s mighty convenient that 20th Century Fox has released the first trailer for director Ridley Scott’s upcoming Alien: Covenant just minutes after the clock strikes December 25 in Boston.
The trailer doesn’t give much of the Prometheus follow-up away, but we do witness a Xenomorph killing someone during a shower sex scene, so 2017 already looks fairly promising.
Alien: Covenant stars Michael Fassbender, Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup, Danny McBride, and others, and it’s out May 19. Here’s the official synopsis:
“Ridley Scott returns to the universe he created, with ALIEN: COVENANT, a new chapter in his groundbreaking ALIEN franchise. The crew of the colony ship Covenant, bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world. When they uncover a threat beyond their imagination, they must attempt a harrowing escape.”
That alien insect flying into that dude’s ear? Nightmare fuel.
