Lovesick, “Vacant Heart”

It can be amazing to see how fast a band can grow both musically and in creating a large local fanbase. Especially when the members of the band are just starting their 20s. Lovesick have become one of the top bands to check out in Providence with their peculiar brand of punk. When their self-titled EP came out in March, one could sense the feverish excitement that came with it. Manny Brooks pours his soul out in “Vacant Heart” on vocals and guitar while bassist Nathan Thao Phrathep and drummer Josh Rodriguez assist in building the track up to be a heartbreak anthem. Among a bunch of other acts, Lovesick are getting people amped for the future of local music in the Creative Capital and at the same time they’re anxious for their next release.
