Ian Fitzgerald, “Forget The Address”

A Massachusetts native who has found a home in Providence, when Ian Fitzgerald put out the album You Won’t Even Know I’m Gone in November was hard to find someone within the local music scene who wasn’t giving it praise. To be honest, people in Providence are still talking about how much they love the record. With rock and roll act Smith & Weeden serving as the backing band, “Forget The Address” resonates an amplified edge. The contrast between the emphatic guitar tone and Fitzgerald’s country tinged voice really makes the song stand apart. This song is an excellent example of how Fitzgerald can use his talents as both as a solo artist and as the leading focus point of a band.
