Audiophiles and music writers rejoice — Shellac have announced a fall tour.
The celebrated Chicago post-hardcore band, composed of Steve Albini, Bob Weston, and Todd Trainer, will hit the road for 12 dates this October, mostly falling within the Eastern Time zone. A few of the shows began trickling out earlier this month, as noted by Tiny Mix Tapes, but now it seems the Touch And Go Records website has the latest full serving.
At press time we’re looking at a handful of New England options, which makes up for the lack of a Boston date.
In Shellac’s upcoming run, they play Burlington’s Higher Ground in Vermont (October 19), Portland’s Space Gallery in Maine (October 20), and Pawtucket’s The Met in Rhode Island (October 21). Atlanta singer-songwriter Shannon Wright will be joining Shellac for most of the shows, while the Met bill will also feature Minibeast, the latest project from Mission of Burma’s Peter Prescott.
Scan Shallac’s tour run, and revisit the trio’s latest album, 2014’s Dude Incredible, after the listings jump.
