This summer saw the return of Massachusetts indie band Blake Babies, the celebrated Juliana Hatfield project that launched a successful PledgeMusic campaign in order to release some demos from 1989 album Earwig. Among the perks of the Pledge campaign were two private live shows, for contributors, and the first went down last month at Q Division in Somerville.
Now it seems the band has that live itch, and announced two more gigs to close out the year, in cities near and dear to guitarist John Strohm: at the Basement East in Nashville, Tennessee, and Saturn in Birmingham, Alabama.
Yes – we're playing @BasementEast on 10/15 and @SaturnBham on 10/16! @julianahatfield details: https://t.co/mMkEKVMpUB

“Our final shows this year will be in John’s ‘hometowns'”, the band writes online. “We will play Nashville on October 15 and Birmingham on October 16. Tickets on sale Friday at 10 a.m. Central. Our friend Phoebe Bridgers opens.”
But wait, there’s more! It seems the band is into playing a third date at a DIY space, and anyone can step up and book it. Deets below.
Since we'll be close, we are open to booking a house concert within approx 200 miles of Nashville on Friday, 10/14, details tbd. Hit us up!
