The New England Patriots summer concert season continues on.
Last night at Gillette Stadium, less than two weeks after Rob Gronkowski joined Paul McCartney on stage for the greatest air guitar ever played at Fenway Park, a trio of Patriots got chummy with Chris Martin and Coldplay. The British rock band sold out Gillette for the latest stop on their “Head Full Of Dreams” tour, and either before or after the show, got to meet Patriots stars Tom Brady, Julian Edelman, and Danny Amendola.

While none of the Patriots players seemed to make an appearance on stage, the team did get a proper shout out from Martin during Coldplay’s set.
“We know there’s a presidential season going on so we’ll tell you what we think,” Martin told the crowd. “We endorse the Patriots to win the Super Bowl.”
Coldplay’s tour continues Monday night at Buffalo’s First Niagara Center, so let’s hope Martin uses that same pro-Patriots line on a room full of sad-sack Bills fans.
