Heartthrob guitarist and Dave Chappelle sideman John Mayer performed at Fenway Park last night with Dead & Company, and his all-gingham style outfit, complete with short sleeves and shorter shorts, definitely got noticed.
From most accounts, his guitar playing with the post-Grateful Dead ensemble stood out as well, but as fans at Fenway checked in and those around the world watched the live-stream via Nugs TV, it was Mayer's bold picnic table garb that had social media buzzing.

In the meantime, we'll see what Mayer, who famously passed through the halls of Boston's Berklee College of Music nearly 20 years ago, rocks tonight when Dead & Company wrap up their two-night swing at the old ballpark.
