We’ve stacked the deck for our continuing Pool Series at the Verb Hotel, but maybe the coolest aspect has gotten lost in the shuffle. One, there’s a pool involved, so it’s hard to nudge that central draw out of spotlight. Two, we’ve partnered up with Boston Magazine and Hojoko, and that’s pretty cool because society loves a dream team. And three, we have Troublemaker Red Blend and La Croix Sparkling Water on board keeping everyone hydrated and refreshed. There’s a lot to like in the flyer’s esteemed logo row.
But we’ve totally slept on hyping up one of the audial aspects that makes our series so unique: The DJs. For the launch, we brought in Boston dance-pop luminaries Bearstronaut to spin some tunes by the pool, a mere two days after they released their debut album at a packed-out Sinclair in Cambridge.
For Sunday’s party, we’re going even harder, bringing in one of the finest party and event DJs in Boston, and a name you find on every “Best Of” list regarding our city’s nightlife — the unstoppable Leah V.
She’s got that prescribed precision in her mixes that allows her to curate the proper sounds at any party, from the afternoon chill under the sun to the last-call frenzy of a Cambridge nightclub. This Sunday at the Verb she’ll be throwing down poolside to deliver the beats to complement our Pool Series treats.
