A lot of people set fire to things on Memorial Day, but that mostly entails BBQs and cookouts. One band apparently decided to bring the flames indoors to O’Brien’s Pub in Allston last night, and needless to say, that band will likely not be invited back.
Says booking agent Ryan Agate: “[N]ot invited back is an understatement.”
According to those in attendance, the bassist for Boston band Strange Fuzz attempted to set his bass guitar on fire using a bit of lighter fluid. He was unsuccessful, thanks to spirited efforts from the venue’s sound guy, but it certainly put a damper on the night.
